Hello, I’m Bee, a mixed media artist creating from my studio on the picturesque Mid North Coast, NSW.

Art has always been a part of my life. Over the years, I’ve explored everything from painting to sewing and just about every creative endeavor in between. In my early 20s, I studied architecture, an experience that instilled in me a love for structure, form, and spatial thinking, lessons that continue to influence my work today. Around the same time, I took a leap into the business world, crafting handmade handbags to sell online and at local markets, a venture that sparked my love for creating something uniquely my own.

Traveling widely overseas further expanded my perspective, exposing me to diverse cultures, landscapes, and artistic traditions that continue to inform my practice. These experiences, combined with a deep connection to the natural beauty of my surroundings, feed the intuitive and layered approach I bring to each piece.

For a long time, life’s rhythms pulled me away from a consistent creative practice. It wasn’t until maternity leave that I paused and realised just how fleeting time is, and how essential it is to create. I returned to painting, initially as a small personal practice, and soon discovered that this intuitive, process-driven approach of mixing acrylics with pencil, graphite, oil pastels, and paint markers, allowed me to explore memory, emotion, and personal transformation. My work is raw, real, and often messy, reflecting the journey of healing, reclaiming, and building something beautiful from life’s complexities.

Now, I spend my days in the studio exploring the endless possibilities of mixed media, translating feeling into gesture, colour, and texture, and sharing my art with others. Each piece is a conversation, between experience, emotion, and the viewer, celebrating art as both expression and exploration.
